Sami Mohammed Zainal

Chairman of the Board since 2017 (and Board member since October 2015), Sami has a rich and varied experience of 32 years in the FMCG industry with a focus on marketing and human resource development.

His leadership skills, teamwork spirit and key commercialization measures lead GPC forward towards its vision of being Bahrain’s favorite fresh egg company.

Sami holds a degree in BBA and MBA in Marketing and serves as a director on the board of MAZA, Bahrain Nation Holding and GCC Arbitration Centre.

GHASSAN QASIM FAKHROO

Vice Chairman Ghassan Qasim Fakhroo is a businessman with over 30 years of experience in trading business.

He holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bahrain and MBA in finance from University of Bahrain and sits on the board of 7 other leading companies in Bahrain.

Puzant Dakessian

Mr. Puzant Dakessian holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture (1995) and a Master of Science in Poultry Sciences (1997) from the American University of Beirut.

With over 28 years of experience in the poultry industry, he brings extensive expertise across both technical operations and commercial management.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Dakessian has demonstrated strong expertise in production optimization, quality control, and strategic planning, contributing to the growth and efficiency of the organizations he has served.

As a board member, he brings valuable industry expertise, informed strategic judgment, and a strong focus on performance, governance, and long-term value creation.

Nawaf Zainal

Nawaf Zainal is a senior human capital professional with broad experience across talent strategy, change management, executive search, performance management, succession planning, total rewards, and employee engagement.

He currently serves as Senior Director, Human Capital at Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, where he leads key human capital functions and supports human capital and transformation initiatives across portfolio companies. Prior to joining Mumtalakat, Nawaf held several human capital roles at Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill Company (GARMCO). He also brings regional exposure across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Nawaf brings to the Board of General Poultry Company a strong perspective on people, governance, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and sustainable business performance.

He holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School, France, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Bahrain, and professional human resources qualifications from CIPD.

MOHAMED AL RAHMA

Mohamed has been a Board Member since 2024, bringing extensive experience in investments and portfolio management. As a Director at Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, he plays a key role in evaluating and optimizing investment opportunities across various sectors, driving long-term value creation and sustainable growth.

With expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and strategic planning, Mohamed actively supports GPC’s growth and its commitment to strengthening Bahrain’s food security.

Mohamed is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance (Distinction) from the University of Westminster as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Webster University. In addition to his role at GPC, he serves on the boards of various entities locally and internationally across multiple sectors.
